With advanced biometric facial verification, and the ability to submit proof of ID, we're offering you a safe and reliable way to become a member.

To qualify for membership of PCU you must be living or working within our "common bond" which consists of the following locations and surrounding areas: Baldoyle, Clontarf, Donabate, East Wall, Fairview, Glasnevin, Howth-Sutton, Portmarnock, Rush-Lusk, Skerries, Swords , and the greater Balbriggan area including Naul and Stamullen, Co. Meath.

What you need to open a PCU account

The easiest way to join the Credit Union is to download our app and join online using your mobile phone or tablet. To become a member you will need the following documents:

  • Photo ID - valid passport or driver's licence.
  • Proof of Address - utility bill , bank statement or Government document dated within the last six months.
  • Your P.P.S. number on an official document.
  • €10.00 to lodge to the account plus €1.00 membership fee**

If you qualify by working within our Common Bond, please supply the three documents above and a letter from your employer on their headed paper.

*Please note you can also join in Branch by downloading and completing the membership application below and calling to any of our branches with the required documentation above.

** Membership fee applies to in-branch account set up only

To open an account for a minor under 16 you need to call to any of the branches with the following:

  • Passport or birth certificate for the child.
  • The child's P.P.S. number on an official document.
  • €10.00 to lodge into the account.

Plus the regular documentation for the parent opening the account.

  • Photo ID - valid passport or driver's licence.
  • Proof of Address - utility bill , bank statement or Government document dated within the last six months.

Please note: if your surname is different from your child's, their birth certificate WILL be required.

Once your membership has been approved, we'll text you a temporary pin so you can have immediate access to your online account. You won’t have to worry about anything, we will do the rest.
